Topsail Island, NC

I've really come to find a lot of meaning in the pictures I have of this pier. You can see the remains of at least one pier that was there before it which was likely destroyed, either over time by the ocean or violently by a hurricane. Despite this destruction, people always rebuild, often right on top of the broken pieces of what remained. I hope you enjoy this piece and appreciate what it shows about the power of nature and humanity.
